Professional Information
For half of my time, I undertake research in astronomy with the team at
Manly Astrophysics.
For the other half of my time, I develop signal processing software for the
Square Kilometre Array in my role as Chief Scientist at
Fourier Space.
My research interests include
- high-precision pulsar timing, pulsar timing arrays, and low-frequency gravitational radiation;
- radio polarimetry, single-pulse studies, and the pulsar emission mechanism;
- the galactic magnetic field and pulsar Faraday rotation measurement;
- interstellar scintillation and the cyclostationary statistics of
the electromagnetic radiation from pulsars; and
- instrumentation and software, particularly digital signal processing
on multi-core architectures.
